ASSISTANT PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR LOCATION:
ARVIN, CA COMPENSATION:

00 / HOUR PURPOSE:
To assist Processing Supervisor with daily operations.
Maintain a safe and efficient operation of all employees and equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Make operational adjustments to ensure proper quality standards are met.
Assist the supervisor to ensure proper safety training, including job specific training is performed on a regular basis.
Ensure all training is documented properly.
Notify the proper department of any mechanical or electrical problems during the shift through Redzone.
Oversee the operations in the Supervisor's absence.
May be asked to rotate to a different area of the plant (same position and shift) based on business need.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to continuously work with product and equipment at ground level.
Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
Ability to operate hand tools.
Ability to move in food processing facilities (sometimes through narrow passages, in wet areas, or on elevated platforms).
Ability to inspect equipment and product.
Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100 to 105 F and as cold as 32 F to 45 F).
Must be able to work in a high noise area.
Must be able to move items weighing up to 40 lbs.

Must have previous leadership experience.
Must have knowledge of GMP/Food Safety policies.
Must have knowledge of sanitizing procedures.
Have knowledge of raw materials/WIP products.
Must have knowledge of GIS systems.
Must have the ability to work with people and have strong communication skills.
Must have the ability to train and direct all subordinates.
Must maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
Must have ability to process daily reports and log discrepancies.
May be required to work overtime or Saturdays depending on business need.
Must be bi-lingual, English/Spanish, with the ability to speak, read, and write in both.
Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
