$64,480 - $75,000 / YEARPURPOSE:
Responsible for supervision of third shift Food Service Production/Snack Plant.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Instruct, direct, and motivate production workforce as necessary.
Will be responsible for overall plant efficiency.
Must be proactive and ensure all mechanical and electrical systems are functioning properly on the production line.
Must be proactive by creating solutions for possible issues and opportunities.
Effectively/Promptly report all malfunctions requiring maintenance to the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance supervisor on duty.
Schedule production personnel as needed.
Coordinate all personnel issues, including payroll status changes, with the facility Production Manager.
Assure all disciplinary actions are being documented and must be reviewed with the Production manager.
Follow and enforce company policy and procedures.
Ensure all trainings are being handled immediately.
Ensure that adequate employee safety trainings, including Job Specific, is performed on a regular basis, and that all such training is documented.
May be asked to rotate to a different area of the plant (all shift) based on business need.
Must maintain effective working relationship with other departments.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to frequently move about inside the office and food processing facilities (including stairs and walking on uneven surfaces).
Ability to operate production equipment.
Ability to inspect equipment and product.
Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100 to 110 F and as cold as -32 F to 36 F).
Must be able to work in a high noise area.
Work in wet and damp environment.

Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 2-3 years supervisor experience in production operations.
Must have knowledge of raw material to finished product.
Must have good knowledge of company policies.
Knowledge of Grimmway Information System (GIS) is a plus.
Must maintain strict confidentiality about all aspects of job.
Must have the ability to interact effectively and objectively with all levels of employees.
Must have the ability to manage the work force, equipment, and product.
Must be able to understand and monitor product flow.
Must have the ability to train and instruct all subordinates.
Must have positive attitude, willingness and ability to team build.
Must have the ability to set up production using a production order sheet.
Must be able to plan production schedules.
Must manage daily labor on both plants Food Service and Snack Plant.
Must ensure that all equipment and personnel are operating safely.
Must be computer literate in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Must have ability to navigate through Red-Zone.
May be required to work Saturdays depending on business needs.
Must have the ability to work under minimal supervision and in a team environment.
Must be bi-lingual, English/Spanish, with the ability to speak, read, and write in both.
Must have a valid drivers license with a clean DMV driving record.
Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen.
